This morning the girls did some short grammar and math lessons while I tried to finish up my final course work for Lipscomb for the semester.
But the best part of the day came when Sera got to perform in her Handbell Choir recital.
She has been working hard all year at her tutorial and we were so excited to watch her play. I had never been to a live handbell performance before!
I was so impressed by their form and their professionalism on stage. This is a group of kiddos who are as young as 9 and as old as 14.
Later, a sweet friend told me how moving it had been to watch Sera express such joy while playing. My friend teared up telling me how beautiful she was to watch, and I couldn’t have felt more proud. I agree. She was shining!
I told Sera how amazing it is that each player just plays one or two notes, and all of those notes string together to form one song. What a beautiful image, and a beautiful sound.
We are so proud of our girl!
